The Alverno provides the peace of mind that comes from living in a safe, secure and comfortable residence, staffed by 24-hour compassionate and trained caregivers. Our community features beautiful grounds overlooking a natural prairie. Our outdoor patio contains flowerbeds cared for by our Green Thumbers Club and our walking path provides an ideal opportunity to enjoy nature and refresh your spirit.

Inside our community, you will find comfortable common areas just right for small gatherings and family visits. Our third floor porch offers a great place to sit and relax. Our main lounge hosts numerous events, activities and classes, including a wide variety of performances.

Our services and amenities are tailored to reflect your personal choice and lifestyle. The majority of the rooms in our facility offer private accommodations. We invite you to bring items from home, which will help you create a comfortable, warm environment.

When living in our facility, you make your own choices. You will choose the time you would like to wake up each morning and when you will go to bed in the evening. You also have the choice to eat a hot breakfast in the dining area, or have a simple continental breakfast on your floor. You will also choose which activities and events you would like to participate in. Who knows, you might even find yourself enjoying activities you have never done before.

Person-Centered Care

Residents at The Alverno are served by a team of professional staff. Everyone works together to ensure that the residents of our community are happy and receive quality care and services. The dedicated, highly trained staff at The Alverno make it a great choice for your long-term needs.

When developing care plans we take a “whole person” approach to ensure we are caring for all of their individual needs. Upon admission to The Alverno, an interdisciplinary team consisting of the resident and their family, physicians, nurses, therapists, and social workers will work together to develop a care plan. Care plans are reviewed quarterly and whenever the medical condition of a resident changes.

Our staff also works with each resident and members of their family to compile information for our “Becoming Well Known” books. This information allows us to gather valuable information on each person’s likes, dislikes, past and interests.
