“The people are so good and I feel very happy here. I love all the activities - they keep me going and I feel younger. I would recommend The Alverno because of how the people treat us. You feel like you are at home with your family.”

“I enjoy the staff very much. They are helpful, cheerful and very patient. I love participating in morning exercise classes and having the chapel onsite so I can practice my religion. I even lead the rosary. The Alverno is a great place to live.”

“I fell at home and broke my shoulder. Because I didn’t have anyone at home to help care for me, my family felt it would be best to go to a skilled nursing facility. After looking around, they chose The Alverno. Upon discharge from the hospital, I found myself residing in a private room at The Alverno. At that point, I thought I would never even be able to dress myself again. My occupational therapist encouraged me and told me I could do it. Now, after working with both the occupational therapist and the physical therapist, I can not only dress myself, but I am doing my exercises and even walking.

“If I hadn’t had therapy, I’d be laying in bed. I wouldn’t be up, moving around and participating in exercises and activities. Alverno therapists are the greatest.”
