Social Life & Recreation

At The Alverno, we encourage residents to live life to its fullest. Family and friends are always welcome and encouraged to visit. Our activities department offers a wide variety of clubs, classes and events to participate in. If you are interested in gardening, we invite you to join our Green Thumbers Club. If you are looking for a social group, we offer Monthly Red Hat Tea Parties, mens groups and game nights. Voice your opinions by attending our monthly resident council meetings and food advisory groups and enjoy sharing your thoughts and suggestions at a monthly resident rap with our Administrator.

If you enjoy getting out and about in the community, you’ll enjoy participating in our weekly bus outings to area businesses, events and activities. Our residents have enjoyed going out to eat at a variety of restaurants, visiting botanical gardens and nature centers, taking their chances at the new casino and enjoying a morning on the river during an Eco cruise.
